The fifth edition of this popular research textbook has been re-designed with eight steps of the research process clearly articulated amongst a colourful and creative new design. The book breaks down the research process of designing and undertaking a research project in achievable stages. It provides opportunities for the researcher to consider and plan their own project.

With a comprehensive coverage of research terms, there are clear explanations on how to make appropriate choices for effective and ethical research activity. Further online resources are provided to explore specific aspects of research in more depth.

The author, from the University of Western Australia has based the textbook on his experiences as a student, practitioner and teacher. The textbook is ideal for the beginning researcher and student and is highly recommended.
